How do we activate MFA for IAM Access ?

You can activate MFA on AWS Root Account with the following steps.

· Login to the AWS Console

· From the Service Dashboard search for IAM service

· On the IAM dashboard there is an option for users

· Choose the user for which MFA is required

· On the user choose security credential, there is an option for assign MFA device

· Then activate MFA dashboard will ask to scan the QR code

· QR code can be scanned through virtual MFA device using Google Authenticator tool which is available on Google Play/App store.

· Put the two dynamic codes which are visible on Google Authenticator Application

· Now MFA is all set
